About the project

Deerness Fencing & Landscaping have partnered with North Tyneside Council, carrying out planned fencing works for the past 10 years with an average annual value of £1,200,000. We supported the client with budget planning, which involved fencing surveys of individual properties. We then presented the client with the budget information and developed a work programme against their desired spending capabilities.

The standard method involved the take down and removal of existing fencing, followed by the supply and erection of the newly specified fencing. All fencing removed from site was taken to a registered tip and disposed of correctly. We never left a property’s boundary fence unfinished at the end of the working day to ensure that the resident’s personal security was maintained.

On this contract timber board fencing was used in order to maximise the amount of fencing the client could get for their money and to match the surrounding street scenes.

One of the main Key Performance Indicators on the contract involved the use of Customer Satisfaction. The information collated was passed to the client and we were able to monitor the overall performance of the contract from the residents view point.

Throughout the project we engage with a full time manager who is based on site, along with a full time customer care representative who undertakes customer satisfaction and with the continued support of the full time manager Deerness works to a zero defect delivery, which has always been fulfilled at handover of each property.

In total Deerness Fencing and Landscaping Ltd removed 1800m of existing timber fencing and installed 1800m of new fencing along with 101nr new timber gates to phase 1 and for phase 2 Deerness Fencing and Landscaping Ltd removed 1300m of existing timber fencing and installed 1300m of new timber fencing along with 169nr new timber gates
